Late Summer Outfits

Hi all โค Summer break is coming to a near end, but it shouldn’t stop us from enjoying the last couple weeks of sleeping in and having a good time. In this post I’ll go over three outfits that I feel is good for those final days out! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here in SoCal our temperatures range from 70ยบF-100ยบF+ in the summer. The first look is for the day that gets a bit more chilly in the evening. Hence the polka dot jacket ๐Ÿ™‚ I got this jacket in the kids section in Target a while back for $20! I remember I kept walking past this jacket and one day I was like, “I need this, where else will I get this??!” For the price it was well worth it, and like all denim jackets, it just goes with everything! ๐Ÿ˜€ The light gray bottom up top was a gift from my mom and the brand is called Cloth & Stone and she got it from TJ Maxx. The navy shorts are from J.Crew and the cute sandals are Steve Madden and I got them at Nordstrom during their sale (score!!).

To complete the look, I wore Stephane Christian sunglasses in the model Shadow Cat. This is a popular Korean brand and I got these in Koreatown at Eyeholics. This outfit is a great for a nice day at the beach since it is often 10 degrees cooler than the city. But if it’s still too hot to wear a jacket, you can always just take it off ๐Ÿ˜‰

This second look is for a more sunny day. The baby blue top is from Marshall’s and it is a Franco Star piece. The shirt is extremely comfortable to wear and fits true to size. If you are out with friends and decided to have AYCE kbbq, this outfit has a more flowy look to hide away your food baby hehe ^^’ I wear it like a regular shirt but you can also wear it as a off the shoulder top since the collar can be easily stretched out. The white bottoms are from Zara. I remember getting these when I was a freshman in college and they were the shorts or shall I say skort, that I wore everyday because it just went with everything. This is another look for a warm day outside and the baby blue and white combination will always work out!

For the last outfit, I wanted to go for a berry look. I got this top from & Other Stories at the Americana in Glendale for 50% off. I really liked the color and liked that I can tie the bottom to give it a hip look to it. This shirt is a great casual shirt to wear in the hot weather as it is a crop top but since I am short it fits like a regular top xD These shorts are also from J.Crew and I got them a long while back at their outlet store in Camarillo. For shoes, I wore these yellow sandals that I got from DSW. I picked these yellow sandals because it gave the outfit a different color and what other color pops more than yellow.

Now for accessories, I used a cute pink pair of sunglasses and my go-to red backpack from Fjallraven. The sunglasses I got are also from Eyeholics and they are Carin Sunglasses in the model Loist C2. (Btw if you live in LA make sure to visit this sunglasses store! They are super friendly and have cool shades) I remember seeing these sunglasses in a Korean drama and was drawn by the pink color on the actress. After researching on where to get these glasses, I walked in at Eyeholics and saw them in their display. I was so stoked that I found these glasses and of course I needed them in my life ๐Ÿ˜Ž To keep me cool, I tied my hair into two braids for a playful finish. You can easily wear this look to go to the mall or to an art museum. I ended up going to the infamous Paul Mitchell pink wall to take pictures hehe~

What did you think of these three outfits? Which were your favorite? Let me know in the comments ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a happy Monday! โญ

My Travels to Vancouver!

Hi all! โค I hope everyone’s day is going well! ๐Ÿ™‚ So not too long ago I went on a short and sweet vacation to Vancouver with my boyfriend. We just recently graduated and wanted to go somewhere that wasn’t in California. We were looking around for the cheapest plane tickets and ended up planning a week to see what Canada was like.

We did AirBnb for our stay in Vancouver and it was the best decision we made. The cost for a week was around $700 which comes out to $100/day. We were located in Downtown Vancouver pretty much 2 minutes away from the train stations and a large mall to do all our shopping. We ended up not renting out a car to save money on transportation so the being located near all the train stations was a big plus! Upon arriving I was excited to be in a new place but unsure of how the week would go ๐Ÿ˜€

Our week consisted of constant walking and exploration of the city. We both agreed that the highlight of our trip was to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. From our apartment, we had to take a 30 minute bus ride which led us to the attraction. The cost came out to around $70CAD with our student discounts. It was incredible to be on a bridge that was hanging 200+ft above a small creek. My boyfriend was acting like a baby the whole entire time we were on the bridge xD If you enjoy the outdoors and like seeing things that you don’t typically see elsewhere this is a great spot to check out. Although it is a big tourist attraction, it is one that should not be missed!

Another spot that my boyfriend and I enjoyed was the Aquarium. When planning the trip, this was another spot that many people suggested tourists to go. This aquarium is supposedly the largest one in Canada and one of the top 5 largest in North America. This was a place we had to go to. We came here on a rainy day and loved everything we saw. They have a huge collection of different species of jellyfish, an area to touch the backs of sting rays, and much more. The cost to get in per person was around $30CAD (student discount) and if you wanted to grab a snack or eat lunch, they have a cafe located inside.

This trip was a great getaway from my usual life. Although Vancouver had a similar vibe to LA, I would say that Vancouver was overall much more greener and tried its best to get its citizens to recycle and do their part in helping the environment. The streets in downtown were a lot more narrower compared to LA and walking down the block was quick and easy. We were sad that we had to leave but it was time to start planning our next trip ๐Ÿ™‚

I cannot wait to be able to travel to other countries and see what else lies out there ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you Canada for the awesome time and I hope to come back soon! โญ

Class of 2017! My Reflections on My College Experience

IMG_5403
CSUF Class of 2017!

Hi all! โค

School is ending soon for most and as each one of us gets closer and closer to the finish line, I am proud to say that I have finally made it. This past semester marked the last and final semester of my undergraduate year and I must say that I am excited to finally be done but I am hella scared to enter this time period of not knowing what is going to happen next. In this post, I will talking about my overall experiences with college and what I look forward to post-graduation ๐Ÿ™‚

Now I have always been a studious student and have received good grades throughout my school career. As I got into college, I got super lazy and just didn’t put the same level of effort into it as I did before. Now that I have just graduated, I realized that I should have just put the extra effort into studying. I guess I was just so tired of putting effort into everything and not getting exact results that I gave up and just was okay with a C because it was still passing. But if there’s one thing I regret, it is getting the grades I got. I mean you’re paying for this tuition, so might as well get the most out of it.

With all the people I have met, there were only so many I actually stayed in contact with. I always wanted to join a sorority, but I ended up wanting to do it when I was the busiest. Although I wished to have joined and be a part of something, I did meet some cool people and got to network with many students in my field of study. College is the place to meet everyone and do everything you can. If you want to study abroad, do it. If you want to join a club, do it. If you don’t reach out for what you want, you’re most likely not going to get it. And that’s something I have realized after all these years in school. Only you can control what you want to do. I am happy to say that even though I didn’t do everything I wanted, I know that only I can control how I want my life to be.

Overall, I enjoyed my experiences at all my schools. Whether it was elementary, middle, high school, or college, I got to meet a lot of people and it truly helped shaped me into the person I am today. I hope that I will be able to land a job in my field but I am not too stressed out about it. I’m thinking of going back for grad school as well or just start my studies for the CPA exam. But I really want to take the time to invest in myself and use this time to be selfish and do what I want like traveling, before it is too late to do so. I have already made plans to go to Vancouver so I am really excited about that ๐Ÿ˜€ If anyone out there has suggestions on places to eat or visit, let me know ๐Ÿ™‚ I will only be there for a week so I want to pack as much activities as I can!

Like I said earlier, I am scared of what will happen next, but I feel that I will be able to tackle on whatever life throws at me โญ

To my parents: thank you for everything you have done for me in all my life, if it wasn’t for you encouraging me to do well, I would have never finished school and I am super happy that I got to walk the stage to make you both proud ๐Ÿ™‚ te amo mucho โค โค โค

Outfit: Ted Baker (this dress was on the pricey side but worth it for a special day)

Shoes: Coach (Nordstrom Rack)

Sunglasses (below): Carin; I got mine in LA from Eyeholics

And congratulations to the Class of 2017!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Colourpop Eye Shadow Review

Hi all! โค

So I have another beauty review for you all! I know I seem to have more blogs about makeup but I am trying to work on some fashion ones too so please be patient ๐Ÿ™‚ A little while ago, Colourpop was having a great sale on their eye shadows so I thought I would snag some up and save me some money! XD This post is not too long but I will reviewing the colors I received and share some looks I created based on what I got.

So like I mentioned before, Colourpop had a sale on their eye shadows. They normally sell for $5/ per color however, they had a great deal and sold three for the price of two. I didn’t go too crazy with the sale, (even though I really wanted too ๐Ÿ˜ฆ ) but ordered some of their best selling colors. The colors I ordered were: Get Out, Sequin, White Rabbit, Liar Liar, Birthday Girl, and Girly. I did a swatch on all colors on my arm to show how they would appear.

Swatch of: Sequin, Birthday Girl, Girly, White Rabbit, Get Out, & Liar Liar (left to right)

I am not a huge makeup person so when I do my eye makeup, I tend to make it as natural as I can. However I wanted to venture out of my comfort zone and try out a nice reddish gold look. The first look that I have on are three of the colors that stood out to me the most when ordering. The colors I used were: Get Out, White Rabbit, and Liar Liar. To create the look, I used Get Out which is a nice red wine color all over the lid. I then applied White Rabbit which is like an orangey-red sparkly color (reminded me of a carrot hehe) on the outer corner of my eye. I blended the two together to create a nice red bronze look. Finally, I applied Liar Liar on the inner corner of my eye to highlight and give the look a touch of lightness โญ

Look #2 is a little bit more neutral compared to #1. Here I used the other three shades: Sequin, Birthday Girl, and Girly. I feel like the names of the colors fit well with each other and the colors blended just as well! This look is my favorite of the two because I can wear with any outfit and smack on any type of lip color. I always like a natural look and these colors worked well to give a natural look an extra WOW! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here I used Sequin and Birthday Girl on the outer lid and then used Girly to highlight the inner corner

Overall, the colors I bought were all great colors to add to my eye shadow collection. The price was perfect and it was a great opportunity to try out a brand that I have heard good things about. I would definitely try more of their products especially their lip products (heard great things about those especially!!). I hope you all have a great week! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for reading!~

Pros: Price, cool names, variety of colors, long-lasting

Cons: None ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Rating: 10/10 ๐Ÿ™‚

Ktown Adventures

Hi all! โค

I know I have not been writing in this blog for quite a while now ๐Ÿ˜ฆ With graduation coming up, it’s been a struggle to balance school, work, relationships, friendships, family, and sleep ๐Ÿ˜ณ But I do hope that I can write in here at least once a week and would love to share my world with whoever reading this~

Any who, I seriously cannot believe that the Fast & Furious series is already on movie eight ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I thought 7 was where it would all end but apparently I was wrong. Like all movie series, I really had to go and see this one and who better to go with?? Obviously my ๋‚จ์ž ์นœ๊ตฌ ๐Ÿ™‚ โค

We decided to watch the movie at the CGV Cinema in Koreatown. For those who do not know what that is, it’s a small Korean movie theater that plays around 2-3 different movies a day. I’ve seen a variety of Korean movies here like ๋ถ€์‚ฐํ–‰ (Train to Busan) and ๋งˆ์Šคํ„ฐ(Master). It’s my first time watching an American movie here and it was different seeing Korean subtitles on screen lol XD There were a lot of twists in the movie but the movie was nonetheless awesome! ๐Ÿ˜€ I will not spoil the movie so do not worry okay?? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here in Koreatown, you’ll notice a lot of cafes and dessert places. One poppin’ place near the CGV Cinema’s is Somi Somi. After our movie was done we thought we should get dessert here~ I ended up getting the milk & green tea swirl with nutella in a ๋ถ•์–ด๋นต (fish-shaped bread). They have other ice cream flavor options like chocolate and banana and other fillings like red bean if that is more to your liking ๐Ÿ™‚ The line could be a little long at times so be prepared to wait. But you will not be disappointed in the end with your new Instagram picture~ โญ

If you are in the LA Ktown area, try to come out to the CGV plaza and enjoy the restaurants and theater it has to offer. My only advance is to beware of the parking structure! Finding parking can be difficult, and if you forget to validate you will have to pay when you leave~ Hope you all have a great day! Oh and Happy Easter! ๐Ÿป
