Late Summer Outfits

Hi all ❀ Summer break is coming to a near end, but it shouldn’t stop us from enjoying the last couple weeks of sleeping in and having a good time. In this post I’ll go over three outfits that I feel is good for those final days out! πŸ™‚

Here in SoCal our temperatures range from 70ΒΊF-100ΒΊF+ in the summer. The first look is for the day that gets a bit more chilly in the evening. Hence the polka dot jacket πŸ™‚ I got this jacket in the kids section in Target a while back for $20! I remember I kept walking past this jacket and one day I was like, “I need this, where else will I get this??!” For the price it was well worth it, and like all denim jackets, it just goes with everything! πŸ˜€ The light gray bottom up top was a gift from my mom and the brand is called Cloth & Stone and she got it from TJ Maxx. The navy shorts are from J.Crew and the cute sandals are Steve Madden and I got them at Nordstrom during their sale (score!!).

To complete the look, I wore Stephane Christian sunglasses in the model Shadow Cat. This is a popular Korean brand and I got these in Koreatown at Eyeholics. This outfit is a great for a nice day at the beach since it is often 10 degrees cooler than the city. But if it’s still too hot to wear a jacket, you can always just take it off πŸ˜‰

This second look is for a more sunny day. The baby blue top is from Marshall’s and it is a Franco Star piece. The shirt is extremely comfortable to wear and fits true to size. If you are out with friends and decided to have AYCE kbbq, this outfit has a more flowy look to hide away your food baby hehe ^^’ I wear it like a regular shirt but you can also wear it as a off the shoulder top since the collar can be easily stretched out. The white bottoms are from Zara. I remember getting these when I was a freshman in college and they were the shorts or shall I say skort, that I wore everyday because it just went with everything. This is another look for a warm day outside and the baby blue and white combination will always work out!

For the last outfit, I wanted to go for a berry look. I got this top from & Other Stories at the Americana in Glendale for 50% off. I really liked the color and liked that I can tie the bottom to give it a hip look to it. This shirt is a great casual shirt to wear in the hot weather as it is a crop top but since I am short it fits like a regular top xD These shorts are also from J.Crew and I got them a long while back at their outlet store in Camarillo. For shoes, I wore these yellow sandals that I got from DSW. I picked these yellow sandals because it gave the outfit a different color and what other color pops more than yellow.

Now for accessories, I used a cute pink pair of sunglasses and my go-to red backpack from Fjallraven. The sunglasses I got are also from Eyeholics and they are Carin Sunglasses in the model Loist C2. (Btw if you live in LA make sure to visit this sunglasses store! They are super friendly and have cool shades) I remember seeing these sunglasses in a Korean drama and was drawn by the pink color on the actress. After researching on where to get these glasses, I walked in at Eyeholics and saw them in their display. I was so stoked that I found these glasses and of course I needed them in my life 😎 To keep me cool, I tied my hair into two braids for a playful finish. You can easily wear this look to go to the mall or to an art museum. I ended up going to the infamous Paul Mitchell pink wall to take pictures hehe~

What did you think of these three outfits? Which were your favorite? Let me know in the comments πŸ™‚ Have a happy Monday! ⭐

Hipster Stylin’: How I Wear Plaid

Hi all! ❀ So this is my first style post and I’m excited to share this simple and effortless hipster look! πŸ™‚ I’m still new to creating these type of posts so bare with me~ I will get better (fingers crossed!)

So the look that I am wearing above is pretty easy to do. This shirt is from Old Navy and it is actually a men’s flannel that I stole from my younger brother πŸ˜€ So anyone with an oversized plaid flannel shirt can easily make it into a dress. Whenever I think of plaid, I immediately think of hipster, which makes me think of Taylor Swift, which leads me singing to “22” (sorry for being so random ^^’) I’m usually a small but this shirt is men’s large so it covers all the key areas. But just to make sure everything is PG, I wear shorts underneath.

Flannel shirt from Old Navy

To make the flannel less baggy, I rolled up both sleeves. By rolling them up, not only do I stay cooler, but it just gives it a cooler vibe. Being from SoCal, Summers range from 75-100°F and one day can be drastically hotter or cooler than the prior day. To keep my face protected from sun, I wore this blue hat to match the color scheme. A hat like this instantly adds that artsy hipster look so all I really have left is to add some accessories 😎

To accessorize the look, I wore these glasses from Urban Outfitters. I saw them while shopping around and had to get themΒ glasses because they are pink and have a cute cat-eye shape at the edge. I normally wear glasses so it was a bit weird buying glasses without a prescription, but they were too cute to pass up. I sported the red Fjallraven Kanken backpack as my bag because it’s easy to carry everything in it. For shoes, I opted for these black wedge platforms that I got from Marshall’s. These shoes are extremely comfortable and were reasonably affordable.

This was a fun shoot and I hope you all enjoyed this post! I’ll keep trying to do my best to post up more content in the upcoming weeks so I hope you all have a great day and if you’re from the states I hope you all have a great 4th of July holiday πŸ™‚ ⭐
